Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton vs New York Islanders

Oct 8, 2019, 15:15 EDTUpdated: Oct 8, 2019, 15:17 EDT
The Oilers begin their first road trip of the season tonight when they head to the Barclays Center Nassau County Coliseum to take on the New York Islanders. After starting the season with a pair of wins on home ice against the @Vancouver Canucks and the @Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton will look to keep their undefeated streak alive as they face an Islanders team that is 1-1-0 to start the season.
On today’s pre-game podcast, I discuss Dave Tippett’s decision to start @Mikko Koskinen over @Mike Smith, Riley Sheahan making his Oilers debut, and how the Oilers have matched up against the Islanders over the past few years. Spoiler: it’s been a long, long time since they’ve won a game in Nassau. Also on the podcast, you’ll hear audio from ‘The Real Deal’ James Neal and tonight’s starter Mikko Koskinen, get a full betting preview for tonights game (including my bet of the night, which is 0-2 to start the year), and find out just how cheap tickets are to the game tonight in New York thanks to our friends at Vivid Seats.
