Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs New York Rangers

Oct 12, 2019, 08:00 EDTUpdated: Oct 12, 2019, 01:05 EDT
Coming into play today, there are seven teams in the NHL who have yet to suffer a loss. Within a couple of hours, that number will drop to six as the @Edmonton Oilers will put their 4-0-0 record on the line against the 2-0-0 @New York Rangers.
For the Oilers, they’ve been winning games in plenty of different ways. There was a high-scoring outing against the LA Kings, a dominant performance versus the New York Islanders, and a game where there goaltending had to steal them one against the @New Jersey Devils. It hasn’t always been pretty, but it’s hard to complain about a four-game win streak to start the season. For the Rangers, they simply haven’t played very much hockey yet this season. After beating the @Winnipeg Jets and @Ottawa Senators to start the season, the team was given seven days off by the NHL’s schedule makers.
I go through all of that and give you some other key stats ahead of this morning’s matchup. As always, there’s also my betting preview of the game and I reveal my bet of the game, which is a horrendous 0-3-1 to start the year.
