Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Dec 14, 2019, 14:00 ESTUpdated: Dec 14, 2019, 13:49 EST
For the first time this season, the @Edmonton Oilers have lost three games in a row and that comfortable lead they once enjoyed at the top of the Pacific Division has completely withered away and now they’ll have to string together some wins just to stay in a playoff spot. Tonight, they welcome the @Toronto Maple Leafs to Rogers Place.
They’ve been struggling to keep pucks out of their net with 15 goals against in their last three games and that’s not just on the goaltenders, that’s on the whole team. They need to be better at preventing quality chances but they also need one of their goaltenders to get hot and start making some big saves. The Maple Leafs present a very tough test tonight as they have a group of forwards that can explode on any given night. The Oilers haven’t beaten Toronto in their last six matchups as well. This game will be both a tough test for the Oilers and wildly entertaining for fans.
I go through all the numbers and lineup notes in the Pre Game Podcast (pres. by YEG Burger) and let you hear from Oilers Head Coach Dave Tippett ahead of tonight’s game. You can download the pod directly here in the article or by heading to Spotify, Apple, or Google Play!
