Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Vancouver Canucks

Nov 30, 2019, 14:00 ESTUpdated: Nov 30, 2019, 13:58 EST
After going 3-2-0 on their recent road trip, the Oilers return home tonight to begin a home and home set against the @Vancouver Canucks, who currently sit seven points back of the Oilers. Much like the Oilers, the Canucks got off to a great start this season but they have fallen off a little bit recently with a record of 6-3-1 in their last ten games. They’re also currently on a two-game losing streak. Still, the Oilers are not in a position where they can take any opposition lightly.
The Oilers will be without @Ryan Nugent-Hopkins once again tonight, which is a massive blow to their top six. Alex Chiasson is also going to be a game-time decision after taking a hard hit in the team’s last game. This weekend will certainly test the Oilers forward depth but they’ll also need their big guns to step up. Both McDavid and Draisaitl were held off the scoresheet against the Avalanche.
It’s been a while since these two teams have played in a game with legitimate playoff implications so tonight should be a lot of fun. I go through all the numbers and lineup notes you need ahead of tonight’s matchup between these two Pacific Division rivals.
