Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Edmonton Oilers vs Winnipeg Jets

Oct 20, 2019, 14:00 EDTUpdated: Oct 20, 2019, 13:25 EDT
Looking to improve to 8-1-0 on the season, the Oilers roll into Winnipeg tonight to take on a Jets team that has had a rough start to the season. They’re 4-5-0, have lost three in a row, and out of their five losses, every single one has been by at least two goals. For the Oilers, they’re coming off a pair of wins over Detroit and Philadelphia and are finding ways to get two points even on nights when they aren’t at their best.
The schedule has been kind to them and tonight is another example of it. They get to take on a Jets team that is struggling and has some of the worst special teams in the league. Their 17th in PP% and dead last in PK%. The Oilers are top five in the league in both of those categories. Given how the Oilers are playing and the way things have been going for them, I think it’s fair to expect them to go out and get two points almost every single night.
I went through all of that in today’s Pre-Game Podcast presented by YEG Burger and also delivered my ‘Bet of the Game’ which is a staggering 0-5-3 to start the year.
