Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Game Three vs Chicago

After turning in a much better performance in game two, the Oilers evened up their Qualifying Round series with the @Chicago Blackhawks and tonight, they’ll look to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series. Game one was a crushing defeat and while the Oilers were better in game two, there is still some room for them to really improve. That’s an encouraging sign. What needs to go right? What do they still need to improve on? I looked into that today in the Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast, presented by YEG Burger!
The goaltending was better, the penalty kill was sharp, and the Oilers were able to sustain pressure at even strength much better than they did in the series opener. With all that being said, the Oilers still didn’t have their ‘A’ game. If they find that next gear tonight and can carry it forward, I don’t think Chicago will win another game in this series. That’s far from a guarantee though and that’s what makes tonight’s game so intriguing.
