It’s Friday afternoon and that can only mean one thing — a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you finish off your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On this week’s show, we looked back at the Oilers’ undefeated run, Connor McDavid’s brilliance, another round of Ask the Idiots, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off this week’s podcast, we got started with a look at the first four games of the season and what has been the biggest bright side of the season so far. Whether it’s the goaltending, McDavid getting better somehow, or the third line chipping in with some offence, there are plenty of options to feel good about as this team has had a very hot start. From there, we looked at team toughness and whether or not the Oilers have enough sandpaper in their lineup as other teams start to figure out how good they actually can be. Next up, we looked over the past week of games and how the Oilers have been able to win games despite not necessarily playing at their sharpest. Despite not being at their best, we’re still looking at a perfect start to the season and that is a reason to celebrate.
