The Oilers have been wildly inconsistent through the first three games of their series against the Vegas Golden Knights, which means we’ve got plenty to talk about on the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio.
To kick off the podcast, we got started with a debate about what the hell happened to the Oilers last night in Game 3 and why the Oilers looked so awful compared to what we got on Saturday night in Game 2. Whether it was the missed assignments, passes to no one in particular, or some questionable officiating, there were plenty of things that went wrong for the Oilers and the majority of them were their own fault. From there, we looked at Laurent Brossoit being replaced by Adin Hill late in the first period and how the Oilers missed a major opportunity to test a cold goaltender. Changing gears, we looked at last night’s NHL Draft Lottery and how many hockey fans are annoyed that it was the Chicago Blackhawks that ended up winning. As usual, some people thought the lottery was rigged seeing as the most unlovable franchise ended up winning, but for all of us, what’s most surprising is that Chicago will likely be awful even with Bedard. Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio with another edition of the award winning Word Association segment that Tyler always puts so much effort into preparing.
