Do you like 50/50 raffles? Of course you do, you’re an Edmontonian.
One of our favourite things to do is buy 50/50 tickets at hockey or football games and starting soon, you’ll be able to do it from the comfort of your own couch whether you attend a game or not.
The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis agency announced Friday about the impending changes.
Natalie Minkler, Oilers Foundation executive director, said: “This is a forward-thinking initiative at a time when the need in our community is greater than ever.”
Alberta is sort of playing catch up to other provinces and states in terms of putting this initiative forward, but it’s great to see the province allowing flexibility in these trying times.
I’d be willing to be we see some silly numbers when the Oilers and Blackhawks take to the ice in August.
