The Edmonton Oilers will look to close out their first-round series against the LA Kings on Saturday night with game six puck drop officially set for 8 p.m. MST.

It took a few days to be announced and was reportedly due to the league seeing what would happen between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights.

The Lightning stayed alive in game five Thursday night securing a 4-2 win over the Leafs, while the Golden Knights became the first team to advance in the playoffs eliminating the Jets in their game five match last night.

On Saturday, game six between the Leafs and Lightning will take place at 5 p.m. MST. With the Leafs up 3-2 in the series, they’ll look to close out the Lightning and advance to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2004.

At 6 p.m., the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers will square off as the former looks to close out the latter. After dropping both game one and game two of the series at home, the Devils have roared back in their series pushing the Rangers to the brink of elimination with a 3-2 series lead.

Lastly, the Oilers and Kings will go at 8 p.m. The Oilers, for the second straight year, will look to close out LA in the first round of the playoffs. It took seven games for the Oilers to do so last year but saw the team win a pivotal game six in LA.
