ROY A BAD BREAK!

After showing well in the QMJHL pre-season and with the Oilers during the Penticton camp, Marco Roy was sent back to the Q for his 18-year old junior season. Since then, he hasn’t played in a regular season game and no one has been able to find out what’s wrong. That changed this afternoon.
I hadn’t seen a word about this, and am thankful to Guy for the update. The time off will definitely impact Roy’s season, and the possibility of playing for Canada at the World Juniors. He was considered a possible option by atleast one commentator:
- Bruce McCurdy, Cult of Hockey: Second rounder showed some nice things at camp, including speed, skill, and an attacking bent. He returns to Blainville-Boisbriand of the QMJHL. With a late ’94 birthday, Roy has just one year of normal junior eligibility remaining, and might as well get cracking on it. Has an outside chance to play for Canada at the World Juniors.
