The Edmonton Oilers have had another game delayed due to COVID-19 protocols.
The team was set to play the Vancouver Canucks Saturday, but Thursday the league announced all of the Canucks’ team activities have been halted through next Tuesday.
Earlier this week Canucks forward Adam Gaudette was placed in COVID protocols, while Travis Hamonic and a member of the coaching staff also entered protocols.
For the Oilers, it eliminates the second half of a game from a back-to-back. Edmonton’s two-game home stand now shrinks to just one game squaring up against the Calgary Flames Friday. For Edmonton, they’ll then hit the road Sunday for a three-game road trip kicking off against the Montreal Canadiens Monday.
It caps off with games Wednesday and Friday in Ottawa. Edmonton won’t wait long to see Vancouver again, playing them on April 12th and the 14th.
