Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show – WCF Game 1 – Oilers vs Avalanche

May 31, 2022, 18:00 EDTUpdated: May 31, 2022, 17:19 EDT
The Western Conference Final is finally here! Things get going tonight down in Denver, Colorado as the Oilers begin their series against the number one seed in the West. The Oilers have had some time to rest over the last little bit as they haven’t played since finishing off their series against the Flames last Thursday. They’ll need to be ready to go right from the opening puck drop tonight as they look to pass their toughest test of the postseason. Today on The Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show, we broke down how the Oilers match up against the Avalanche and what their path to victory will be in this series!
We talked about the goaltending matchup, and the special teams, and debated whether or not the Avs have the horses to shut down the Oiler’s big guns. McDavid and Draisaitl are on an absolutely historic run but Colorado has plenty of star power as well. Their blueline is also much better than both the Kings and Flames. This is a very difficult matchup for Edmonton and they’ll need to bring their game to yet another level if they want to win this series and advance to the Stanley Cup Final! They’re only four wins away! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!
