The status of @Edmonton Oilers F @Connor McDavid is up in the air after he suffered a charley horse Saturday night against the @Nashville Predators.
McDavid was dinged up after he took a spill into the board during the second period of the game.
Despite lacking his supersonic speed bursts, he didn’t appear all that worse for wear and was able to finish the game for the Oilers. Monday morning, McDavid and the Oilers took to the ice for practice and after, McDavid met with the media where he said he suffered a charley horse.
McDavid added that he was unsure if he would be available for a Tuesday night game against the @Chicago Blackhawks. While the knee he hurt Saturday was the same as the one that required his crazy rehabilitation from a PCL tear, McDavid said the injuries aren’t connected.
The extent of McDavid’s practice Monday saw him take a spin on the ice and work with the powerplay unit.
Head coach Dave Tippett, meanwhile, called the injury a “bruise on his knee” adding his status was up in the air.
