The season is over now. The playoffs are on-going. The NHL hates fighting in the playoffs, when the only series that seemed to care about hating each other (Minnesota/Winnipeg) got heated, the NHL got penalty happy, handing out two games worth of penalties in the first period. Anyways, we at Hockeyfights have chosen to wrap the regular season up with a tiny bow, called the top 25 fights of the season 2017-18.
Last week you were able to watch the 25th down to 21st best fights of the year.
Coming in at number 20:

20 – Connor Brickley vs Brett Ritchie

Jan 23, 2018

This was a part of a night that saw six fights in one game (four in one period) and was a beautiful, throwback to the old school hockey fighting days.

19 – Brenden Dillon vs Matt Hendricks

Jan 7, 2018

Hendricks, the emotional leader of WInnipeg. Takes on a bigger guy in Dillon in a pretty spirited battle. Lots of big punches thrown, if not landed.

18 – Jamie McGinn vs Stephen Johns

Jan 23, 2018

You will note the same date as number 20 on this list. From that “magical” night in Dallas where the home team fans went home happy from a 6-1 win and a night of fisticuffs.
The third fight in this five of the top list that includes the fighting major leader, Florida Panthers. This was two guys who don’t find themselves sitting for many five minute majors, absolutely going for it.
Ross Johnston hates the Flames. His career has only seen him fight one non-Flame in the NHL and that was late this year. In this one he absolutely destroys Lomberg of the Flames.
What do you think of the ranking? One of the fights better than the others? Let me know in the comments below.

Previously in the Top 25:

Number 25 to 21
