What a busy day it was for the Edmonton Oilers. They locked up Evander Kane, Jack Campbell, Brett Kulak, Calvin Pickard and Greg McKegg to various deals, but more work is yet to be done.
So on Wednesday afternoon, Tyler Yaremchuk and I broke down some of the Oilers moves and gave the day as a whole a letter grade.
Now, the Oilers will have to maneuver the salary cap with three RFA’s to sign, and likely a few more bodies to add, too, as they build out their roster.
How would you grade the Edmonton Oilers on the first day of free agency? Were there any moves around the league that caught you by surprise? What do you think the Oilers will be up to next as free agency continues on?
