After a difficult season in 2021, Yamamoto inked a one-year, show-me deal and produced well, scoring a career-high 20 goals and 41 points. Now he’s a restricted free agent again and he’ll be looking for a raise.
What can we expect from Yamamoto’s next contract? Can the Oilers afford both him and Jesse Puljujarvi, or will one of them wind up getting traded to fill a need elsewhere on the roster?
