WATCH: Connor McDavid’s two beautiful goals against the Wild

Connor McDavid was, well, Connor McDavid tonight. The Oilers hosted the Wild, a team they generally tend to have a difficult time with, but the captain scored two nice goals to help push Edmonton to a 4-1 win.
McDavid opened the scoring in the second period. He grabbed the puck at the blueline and managed to get his wheels rolling so quickly that he swivelled the normally-very-good Ryan Suter into the ice. He dragged the puck to the front of the net, had his shot stopped, but picked up his own rebound and fired it past the sprawling Devan Dubnyk. Look at those wheels.
A few minutes later, McDavi pushed the lead to 2-0 with this power play snipe over the shoulder of Devan Dubnyk. McDavid is usually a pass first kind of guy, especially with the man advantage, but this time, he took matters into his own hands and ripped a wrister right past a helpless looking Dubnyk.
It was a three-point night for McDavid which pulls him a little closer to Nikita Kucherov in the Art Trophy race.
