WATCH: Marody scores OT goal

Good things are happening in Bakersfield this year. The kid line of Tyler Benson, Cooper Marody, and Cameron Hebig are all producing at a point-per-game pace and the young Condors are sitting at 6-4 after 10 games.
On Thursday night, the kid line came up big again. In overtime against the Iowa Wild, Hebig and Marody combined to score a gorgeous overtime winner. Hebig brought the puck into the zone, worked it behind the net and all the way around the ice, then found Marody who carried the puck behind the net and buried the winner on a wrap-around. Come for the goal, stay for the celebration.
It was a big night overall for the kids in Bakersfield. Marody earned the first star, scoring a goal and raking up two assists, Hebig and Benson both had a goal and an assist, and rookie AHL defenceman William Lagesson had a goal and an assist of his own.
We haven’t been able to say this much in the past, but the Condors look like a hell of a show. Often times, the Oilers’ AHL squads have been veteran heavy without many interesting prospects, but this year, the team is loaded with interesting young talent.
