WEEKEND UPDATE!

Darnell Nurse and an impressive group of prospects remain in training camp for the Edmonton Oilers, while a considerable number are now assigned to Bakersfield. Who dominated performances among prospects this week? It’s a long list.
NHL PRE-SEASON
- Connor McDavid 2GP, 0-4-4
- Anton Slepyshev 4GP, 2-0-2
- Andrew Miller 3GP, 1-1-2
- Leon Draisaitl 4GP, 1-1-2
- David Musil 1GP, 0-1-1
- Jordan Oesterle 2GP, 0-1-1
- Anders Nilsson 2GP, 0.00 1.000 (stopped all 17 shots)
- Laurent Brossoit 1GP, 2.07 .889

McDavid got credit for a Leon assist, you can change it but this is the official total for everyone who has made the scoresheet. McDavid, Draisaitl and Slepyshev combined for a play that was amazing, an absolutely brilliant sequence.
CHL
- Caleb Jones 2GP, 1-2-3
- Ethan Bear 1GP, 0-1-1
- Keven Bouchard 2GP, 4.06 .869
A very nice start for Jones, who is playing his first WHL regular-season games and having good success. Ethan Bear got an assist in his first game of the year and the Q has been underway for some time and Keven Bouchard is posting his usual numbers.
USHL
- John Marino 1GP, 0-3-3
Another 2015 draft pick off to a nice start.
EURO
- D Ziyat Paigin 8GP, 0-1-1 (KHL) and 5GP, 1-2-3 (VHL)
- G Miroslav Svoboda 6GP, 4.09 .872 (Czech 2)
Paigin is playing well in the VHL and was solid enough in the KHL early in the season to suggest he’ll play again later as required. Svoboda had a tough week.
