Taylor Beck is scoring at a fantastic rate in Bakersfield these days—six points in three games this week. Anton Lander’s California trip may be short based on his impressive offense since being sent down. Both men were leaders of another strong week for Oilers prospects across the worldwide prospect map. Let’s have a look. Photo by Mark Williams, all rights reserved.

  • Anton Lander and Taylor Beck are playing extremely well. It is a certainty management has noticed, and with Lander having PK and faceoff skills, perhaps he will see Edmonton again soon. Beck is less likely, but it is no fault of his own. Ryan Hamilton, the third member of Bakersfield’s top line, is on an AHL-only contract, making him less likely for recall (Edmonton would have to purchase his contract). The line AHL winger Edmonton purchased? Charles Linglet.
  • Laurent Brossoit and Nick Ellis are providing the Condors with stellar goaltending.
  • Jordan Oesterle is back healthy, and he looks like a man who wants to see Edmonton this winter.

  • Tyler Benson had a good week, the Giants are a challenged team, so a four-point week is quality.

  • Miroslav Svoboda is having a great season and little is being written (in English) about it. So, if you can’t beat them, join them. The interview above is not in English, but there is an article (also not in English) that talks about a recent outing. He stopped a lot of pucks, but on at least one occasion the puck arrived too soon (according to the article).
