Ahhhh, the NHL trade deadline! A day where hockey fans across the league are glued to their TV’s, social media or let’s be honest, Frank Seravalli’s Twitter account as he breaks all the trades of the day. But for now, let’s focus just on the Edmonton Oilers and the greatest fan base in the league (unbiased opinion).
Let’s start with our very own Baggedmilk as he had high hopes for the trade deadline and hilariously set the tone for the day:
Baggedmilk wanted “big tradez” from the Oilers and here’s what the fans got:

- Eight year NHL veteran

Now, what does the whole trade look like, you ask?

MTL is trading Brett Kulak to EDM for William Lagesson and a 2nd-round pick. Trade call not yet complete.
The media quickly started to weigh in on the Brett Kulak acquisition:
Kulak immediately steps in as 3rd pair left shot guy and could push for more. Veteran presence, can insulate Bouchard a bit as well if they end up together. Local product.
But what matters most, is of course, what was going through the minds of Oilers fans across the social media world.

Oilers fans: "I demand trades or get rid of Holland" Also Oilers fans: "what a stupid deal and overpayment, what is Holland doing" Honestly all you arm chair GMs just relax and enjoy life. So much more to it than what Holland does today.

Our very own NHL Sid gives us the rundown on Derick Brassard:
Derick Brassard, traded to Edmonton, is a good defensively-inclined, bottom-six forward, with decent finishing. He isn't a strong offensive play-driver, as he doesn't generate a lot of rush offence. He's also a poor forechecker, but he is an above-average passer. Solid add.
But some Oilers fans weren’t too excited about this move…
