Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
The boys are back for 2020! Well… sort of. Dusty still away, but luckily Handsome Tom Gazzola is here to fill in!
Tom starts out the show by rectifying his ruining of the gift exchange from before the break, and the boys chat about their Christmases and New Year’s, and some resolutions for 2020.
They give their reviews on the new Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.
They then discuss the @Edmonton Oilers nearly blowing a six-goal lead on New Year’s Eve against the @New York Rangers, but they also praise how @Kailer Yamamoto performed in his season debut, and what the Oilers chances are for a playoff run.
The @Tampa Bay Lightning are hot again, and they discuss whether the team has finally turned it around and are back in their form from last season.
John Tortorella was fined for the ninth time of his NHL coaching career, this time for criticizing the officials, but were some truth to his comments?
