Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a look at the very tough slate of games the Oilers will be working through this week as they go up against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, followed by the Panthers and Hurricanes on Saturday and Sunday. As far as measuring stick weeks go, this will be a huge one for the boys to work through as there are no gimmes on this road trip. From there, we looked at the roster and specifically who has been the most impressive player over the last couple of weeks, and that’s when we gave Zach Hyman some love for all of the great things he does on a nightly basis. Even when he’s not scoring, it seems like Hyman’s motor won’t ever quit running and that effort is exactly what we were promised from him when he came over from Toronto as an unrestricted free agent. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at team toughness and how much credit a guy like Evander Kane should get for bringing his teammates into the fight more often than not.
