Inside the Nation: NHL officiating, trading for Manning, hot sauce giveaway, and more.

After a Christmas hiatus, Dustin Nielson is back with another episode of Inside the Nation!

In case you’re new around here, Inside the Nation is an online video series where Dustin Nielson takes over the Oilersnation Facebook page and goes on Facebook Live to answer all of your burning Oilers questions! After a couple trades last week, a horrific Hockey Night in Canada game, and a big win against the Ducks yesterday, there were a lot of things to discuss in this episode.

Dusty kicked things off by breaking down the Oilers weekend and what he thought of our new defensive acquisitions. He commented on the strong play of Cam Talbot and Kris Russell, as well as Caleb Jones’ strong performance as of late. Do you think Jones is earning himself a spot in the lineup for the remaining of the season? Dusty gives his thoughts on the matter as well as some other hot takes about trading Drake Caggiula for Brandon Manning.

After that, Dustin gets very passionate about a topic on top of everyone’s minds… NHL officiating. In case you missed it, you can find the hit from behind on Connor McDavid from last night below. How that was not a penalty? I’m not too sure. Nielson is infuriated with the no-call and has some great takes on the situation.
