The Edmonton Oilers got the job done last night with an 8-1 victory over the Florida Panthers. It was the franchises first Stanley Cup Final win since 2006 and also helped avoid the first final sweep since 1998. Now, the Oilers travel down to Florida for another do-or-die game.
Mattias Janmark lead the charge early with a shorthanded goal and then a primary assist on Adam Henrique’s goal, which made it 2-0. The Oilers continued to poor on the offence with goals from Dylan Holloway, Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse, which gave Paul Maurice no choice but to pull Sergei Bobrovsky. Zach Hyman, Ryan McLeod and another from Holloway closed out the scoring for what was a magnificent night at Rogers Place.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon for Oilersnation Everyday to break down the action from last nights Game 4 matchup. You can watch the show on the Oilersnation YouTube channel or on any of the Oilersnation social media channels. However, if you want your thoughts on the show you need to watch on YouTube. You can leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the program. Tyler and Liam strongly encourage you to interact with them.
Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins the guys for his daily appearance, presented by Horse Racing Alberta. With Frank, they’ll talk about everything that went right for the Oilers last night. Additionally, they’ll talk about the atmosphere in Rogers Place, the Conn Smythe and what he anticipates heading into Game 5 in Sunrise, Florida.
