We’re nearly halfway through the week and that means your mom’s favourite blogger jumped on the Cruz FM airwaves with the boys at The Locker Room to talk about the latest rumblings from around the NHL, life in the blogosphere, and whatever else is going on.
To kick off this week’s appearance, I started with my thoughts on the best cover songs of all time and I actually couldn’t believe that my pick — With a Little Help From My Friends by Joe Cocker — hadn’t been chosen yet. From there, we shifted gears back to the NHL and spoke about our excitement as the league will be getting back underway in just over a week. From the jam-packed game schedule to Chris Cuthbert calling games in Edmonton to watching hockey while sitting in the sun, there is plenty to be excited about when it comes to this summer tournament. Seeing as the Oilers have a play-in series against the Blackhawks to get through, Lochlin asked me about what I’ve been hearing from training camp, including a quick chat about Connor McDavid somehow getting faster. With the four months behind us since the last game was played, it’s hard to tell who’s more excited about the return of the NHL — the players or the fans that will be watching.
