We’re midway through the week and that means your mom’s favourite blogger jumped on the air with the boys at The Locker Room to talk about what’s going on in the NHL, life, and the world of sports.
To kick off this week’s appearance, the logical thing to talk about was the fact that hockey is almost back after a four-month hiatus. Now that training camps have kicked off around the NHL, we took a look around at some of the stories that have developed in the early days, including the “unfit to play” tag that teams are placing on players that are unable to practice. From there, we took a look at Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ pirate moustache that he rolled into town with and I could hardly express how much I loved this look for him. Playoff beards/chops/moustaches/whatever are always one of my favourite parts of the annual spring tournament and to see RNH showing up the way he did can only mean that he’s ready to go. Lastly, we finished up this week’s hit with a look at the NBA snitch line for players to anonymously rat out their peers for any bubble violations and talked about whether or not the NHL might follow suit.
