The offseason rolls on for our beloved Oilers and another Wednesday on the calendar meant another chance for your boy to jump on the radio with the guys from The Locker Room to discuss all things hockey and life in general. This week, we look at the Oilers’ goaltending situation, love for dips, Borat, and the NHL rulebook.
To kick off this week’s segment, Lochlin asked me about my favourite kind of dip, and as a dunking connoisseur, I made a passionate plea for Buffalo Chicken Dip to reign supreme over all others. While other dips may be acceptable in certain situations, there is no doubt in my mind that a good, spicy Buffalo Chicken Dip is exactly what the mouth feelings are yearning for. Back to the Oilers, we looked a little bit at the goaltending market that’s emerging this offseason and what Edmonton might do when it comes to finding a partner for Mikko Koskinen. Personally, I think this could be one of the best opportunities this franchise has to acquire a quality goaltender at a reasonable cost based on the number of them that are available, but we’ll have to see whether or not Ken Holland can work some magic. Lastly, we finished up with a look at the NHL playoffs, specifically some of the officiating that’s taken place and why a certain rule still exists.
