Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.

To kick off this week’s appearance, we jumped in with a conversation about how special Connor McDavid’s 2021 season was that saw him put up an incredible 105 points in only 56 games. Those numbers made Lochlin wonder if we truly appreciate how much of a freak Connor McDavid is and whether or not Oilers fans appreciate him enough. Personally, I love that he brought this topic up because I think that we need to get checked from time to time to make sure that we’re enjoying every minute we’re able to watch this guy do his thing. I’m not old enough to have watched Wayne Gretzky in his prime, but I certainly am old enough to know that what we get to see with Connor McDavid on a nightly basis is not something that I will be taking for granted. From there we talked a little bit about PTOs and whether the Oilers should consider bringing someone in that’s willing to bust their ass for a job. I like the idea of professional tryouts and hope the Oilers do decide to take a flyer on a few guys that are looking for contracts. I don’t know how the money would work — we all know that Edmonton has no cap space — but I’d still love to see it anyway.
