Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
Kicking off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a conversation about the Duncan Keith trade that happened on Monday and whether or not this is a gamble that needed to be taken. As much as I agree with the intangibles that Keith will bring into the locker room and how I think that’s valuable to a point, the cost of acquisition is high because of his age and Holland’s inability to get Chicago to retain any salary. But regardless of what anyone thinks, Holland made his bet and it will be up to Keith’s play as to whether this pays off or not. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at Pierre McGuire landing a management job in Ottawa, but the benefits of that new position that we found may not be exactly what is expected.
