Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Western Conference Final Preview

It’s game day and the boys at The Locker Room wanted to bring me in for yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. For as long as this playoff run lasts, I’ll be jumping on the air with the boys for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off today’s segment, we jumped in with a look at the energy in the city leading up to the Western Conference Final and how you can almost feel the nervousness. That said, I also think there is a lot of excitement in the air as the Oilers and Avalanche should — at least, in theory — be a whole lot of fun to watch as both sides will have plenty of skill on display over the next couple of weeks. Speaking of skill, we then spent a few minutes talking about whether the NHL is overhyping the McDavid vs MacKinnon matchup, and while I don’t think that’s the case, it will be interesting to see how the depth pieces for both sides respond or chip in. As we’ve seen throughout the playoffs so far, the Oilers will need to get key goals from throughout their lineup to make this series tip in their favour. Regardless of what happens, I honestly think that we’re in line for an incredible couple of weeks and I could not be more excited about getting this series going.
