Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day will be taking Dawson Mercer to score a point. These odds sit at -125.
Mercer and his linemates on the New Jersey Devils’ second line have a great matchup tonight against the Montreal Canadiens, and he’s slated to play on their top power play unit. While they may not be the most effective group, ranking 22nd in the league, according to Daily Faceoff’s DFS charts, the Habs’ penalty kill is an even worse 30th overall.
Couple that with a strong 5v5 matchup, and I like Mercer’s chances at getting on the scoresheet tonight.
We’re also going to put a quarter unit on Mercer to score 1+ goal and 1+ assist. These odds sit at +600, and can be found under the “player specials” tab.
It’s a long-shot play, no doubt, but he’s done it in four games this season, and once before against the Habs in seven prior matchups. As well, Mercer’s scored seven points in seven games against them.
THE BETS OF THE DAY ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Our second bet of the day will be taking Matthew Tkachuk to score 2+ points. These odds sit at +130.
Is Matthew Tkachuk back?
After a sluggish start to the season, one where he scored a measly five goals and 27 points in 36 games, he is on a red-hot tear right now. That’s thanks to seven goals and 15 points in his last seven games.
With Sasha Barkov out for the Panthers tonight, the Panthers’ second line, led by Tkachuk, will look to lead the charge.
We’re also going to sprinkle a quarter unit on Tkachuk to score 1+ goal and 1+ assist. These odds sit at +250, and too can be found under the “player specials” tab.
Record: 53-54 (+4.66u, +4.31 ROI%)
