Leon Draisaitl has been named the NHL’s second star of the week.
The Oilers forward led the league in scoring last week potting six goals and three assists in four games, helping lead the team to a 3-1 week.
His week started off with his fifth game-winning goal of the season against Ottawa on March 8, before scoring three goals and five points two days later against the same club. Draisaitl added a goal an assist in game three of the series on March 12, before scoring Edmonton’s loan goal Saturday against Vancouver.
The reigning Hart Trophy winner has played in 30 games scoring 16 goals, 29 assists and 45 points, ranking in the top-three for each of those stats in the league.
