Edmonton Oilers prospect Carter Savoie has been named the NCHC co-rookie of the week.
Savoie had an incredible week scoring two goals and one assist while firing nine shots on net in three games between Dec. 7-13.
He’s blown up so far early in his NCAA career and has looked every bit the part of the elite scorer he was in the AJHL. So far, he’s scored six goals and two assists in his first six NCAA games.
The 18-year-old saw minutes on the Denver Pioneers top line, too, as he continues to impress.
Also named co-rookie of the week was North Dakota’s Riese Gaber.
