With their sixth choice at the draft, the Edmonton Oilers have selected 6’2″ left-winger, Jeremias Lindewall, at 200th overall. Lindewall, a native of Solleftea, Sweden, is a decent skater with average acceleration, but really earns his keep in front of the net. No stranger to the dirty areas, Lindewall is described as a player that will happily make his way into the dirty areas of the ice, often using his big frame to separate opponents from the puck with a thunderous hit.
In 39 games played with MODO (J20 SuperElit) in 2019-20, the 18-year-old Lindewall registered 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points. So far this season, Lindewall has played in four games with MODO (20 Nationell), producing four goals and four assists for eight points, which has him tied for 28th in league scoring.
WHO IS JEREMIAH LINDEWALL?
Now that we know Jeremias Lindewall is the final pick for the Oilers at this year’s draft, I tried to find any information I could about him, but as you’ll see below, the options were limited:
He showed off good puck control and could cover it effectively with his body. For a player of his size, Lindewall showed off good first steps and could accelerate well with the puck without having to slow down. What Lindewall does best is his work in front of the opposing net. He can take and deliver blows and has some grit to his style.
