This morning, the Edmonton Oilers announced via their social media channels that they have signed forward prospect, Michael Kesselring, to a three-year, entry-level contract, forgoing the last two years of NCAA eligibility.
Kesselring, a 6’4″ native of New Hampton, New Hampshire, was a 6th round pick (164th overall) for the Oilers back in 2018 and has spent the last two seasons at Northeastern University where he amassed seven goals and six assists and 49 blocked shots in 54 games.
“The Edmonton Oilers have signed 2018, 6th round pick Michael Kesselring to a three-year NHL contract starting next season. The Northeastern University product has signed an AHL contract for the remainder of the 2021 season with the Condors.”
As mentioned in the quote above, Kesselring will play the remainder of the 2020-21 season with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors on an AHL contract before his new ELC kicks off next year.
