While Jason Gregor has been down at Oilers camp all week turning out some great content, the team has had two intrasquad games.
Played down at the Downtown Community Arena, the first game went Thursday and the second this morning.
And here’s the scoring breakdown, courtesy of OilersAcess on Twitter.
McDavid has been doing what McDavid does best in producing however all in the form of goals. I hope this is a trend that continues into the regular season as he has an incredibly deceptive shot. It’s time for him to come into his own and get respect around the league as an elite goalscorer.
He’s scored 162 goals in 351 games including two 40 goal seasons and was well on pace for another 40 goal campaign last year.
Seth Griffin has quietly had a solid camp as noted by Gregor, and has scored twice so far through the scrimmages. He’ll be a solid addition to the taxi squad and should be able to step into the lineup in a pinch.
A number of other players, including Jesse Puljujarvi who scored with a quick snap shot on a rebound Thursday, have two points.
I can’t wait for next Wednesday.
