THE DAY AFTER IS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

The Jets opened the scoring late in the first period while Brett Kulak was in the penalty box for holding. Mark Scheifele put a shot on net from the faceoff circle and Cole Perfetti snuck into the top of the crease and deflected the puck past Stuart Skinner.
The score remained 1-0 through the entire second period and the majority of the third period before the Oilers finally got on the board. Darnell Nurse threw a shot on goal from just inside Winnipeg’s blueline and it bounced off of Connor Hellebuyck’s glove and trickled into the net. The Jets really looked like they were on their way to a shutout victory and this bounce completely turned things around.
the bounciest of bounces find the back of the net for darnell nurse and the oilers. 1-1.
Not long after the tying goal, Gabe Vilardi took a penalty for holding Connor McDavid’s stick and sent Edmonton to the power play. While on the man advantage, McDavid fed Leon Draisaitl for a one-timer that he managed to squeeze between Hellebuyck and the post.
A classic McDavid to Draisaitl goal and the Oilers lead by one with a minute left!
The Jets pulled their goalie for an extra attacker but couldn’t get much going. The Oilers wound up putting more pressure on them and Ryan McLeod was the one who finally fired a puck into Winnipeg’s empty net. It was McLeod’s first goal of the season.
