That one was about as ugly as they come.
The Oilers put in about 10 minutes of good hockey on Thursday night ultimately losing to the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in a shootout. Edmonton looked sloppy and uninterested in the game, and couldn’t be bothered to turn it on until the final 10 minutes of the game. It was about as good of game as they played all night.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Philadelphia opened the scoring 7:50 into the game when a Kevin Hayes shot deflected into the Oilers net.
It took a while for the Oilers to respond, but it was ultimately Evander Kane who scored marking his third tally in his last three games. It was a great shot by him through a screen and you can sense his confidence is coming back.
The Oilers (kind of) scored with a little under 12 minutes left in the third when Zach Hyman appeared to score. The only issue? It was deemed goaltender interference when Warren Foegele crashed into Carter Hart. A close one, to say the least.

In overtime, Connor McDavid had a chance to end it, but Carter Hart flashed the leather.

The game went to a shootout where both Travis Konecny and Connor McDavid missed in the first round. In the second, Morgan Frost scored for the Flyers and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins did for the Oilers. In round three, James Van Riemsdyk scored, but Leon Draisaitl was stopped.
