Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded and edited, and it’s ready to help you wrap up the week with another dose of nonsense and shenanigans. On today’s podcast, the guys discussed Tyler’s evolving palate, the Oilers value menu, Vladdy Guerrero’s contract comments, and much more.

The guys kicked off this week’s episode of Real Life with a range of topics, starting with Tyler’s evolving palate after crushing piles of seafood when he was out on Vancouver Island. From there, the boys looked at the Rogers Place value menu, and how it was a nice little surprise for the fanbase after getting kicked in the pills with pricing year after year. Yet, as you’ll hear, there’s always a catch with the Oilers. As it turns out, the value menu is only available out in Ford Hall.

Changing gears, the guys walked through some of the biggest news stories from around the NHL, including the Connor Hellebuyck situation in Winnipeg and where he might end up when he’s finally traded. The guys also dove into Mark Messier’s comments about the Mike Babcock hire, and how wild it was to have a franchise legend throw the team under the bus the way he did. Understandably, the boys asked Chalmers for his first take on the situation, given that the Moose is his hero. Surprising? Yes. Disappointing? Also yes.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with the Caleb Williams viral memes that kicked off after his hamstring injury from last Sunday. For Chalmers, the reaction to the injury was too much. But for the rest of the guys on the podcast, his beef of the week turned very quickly to making fun of his take. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the show with an update from the Real Life fantasy football league, and how Baggedmilk keeps winning despite never looking at or adjusting his lineup.
