The Edmonton Oilers are 1-4-1 on the season following Tuesday night’s 7-4 loss to the Wild in Minnesota. Below are the highlights from the game…
GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Just like on Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets, the Oilers opened the scoring quickly, as Evan Bouchard scored 54 seconds into the game to give Edmonton a 1-0 lead.
The lead didn’t last long as the Wild tied the game at 1-1 a few minutes later. Marco Rossi parked himself in front of the net and tapped a pass from Ryan Hartman past Jack Campbell.

The Oilers regained a 2-1 lead with just under two minutes left in the first frame. Bouchard threw a shot towards the net from the point that bounced off of a Wild player and right to Warren Foegele who wired a wrist shot past Filip Gustavsson.

The lead again didn’t last long as the Wild tied the score at 2-2 under one minute later. Jacob Middleton threw a shot on net from the point and Hartman buried the rebound.

Early in the second period, Foegele gave the Oilers their third lead of the game with his second goal of the night. Foegele picked up the puck in the neutral zone and fired a shot from the high slot that went top shelf on a screened Gustavsson.
The score remained 3-2 for the entirety of the second period and then the Wild exploded for five goals in the third. Hartman scored under one minute into the third frame to tie the game at 3-3.

A few minutes later, the same line of Hartman, Mats Zuccarello, and Kirill Kaprizov scored to give Minnesota their first lead of the game at 4-3.

After the Wild extended their lead to 5-3, Evander Kane brought the Oilers back to within one with a power-play goal that completed his Gordie Howe Hat Trick.

Minnesota put things out of reach with just under five minutes to go in the third period when Hartman scored his third goal of the game. The Wild added an empty-net goal to take the game by a score of 7-4.
