HEMSKY OUT, EBERLE OUT

This is Dick Pole – an actual pitcher for the Bo Sox in the 1970s.
Hopefully you are having a good laugh at ol’ Dickie Pole’s expense right now because there is other – less funny – news to pass along. Ales Hemsky and Jordan Eberle are both bowing out of the All Star Game on account of injuries.
"Edmonton Oilers forwards Ales Hemsky and Jordan Eberle will miss the All-Star Game due to injuries. Hemsky, second on the team with 29 points in 32 games, has missed the last two games due to a concussion. Eberle, who was one of 12 rookies invited to All-Star Weekend and was scheduled to participate in the Honday SuperSkills competition, has missed the last 10 games with an ankle injury.
The 22nd pick of the 2008 Entry Draft has 23 points in 37 games. Rookie forward Taylor Hall, the first pick of the 2010 Entry Draft, looks to be the club’s sole representative at All-Star Weekend. Hall, like Eberle, is scheduled to take part in the skills contest."
Well this is just perfect. During a pair of seasons that can only be described as "injury riddled beyond beleif" it makes perfect sense that both Hemsky and Eberle aren’t able to attend the All Star Game doesn’t it? Son of a gun.
Too bad. It would have been grand to see Eberle in the All Star Festivities.
