This has been a painful weekend. All of the Nation said goodbye to Colby Cave and we were all shook in different ways. I want to take this chance to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Cave family. I hope everyone has been able to find some peace over the weekend and that continues today. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia continue the animosity in this one with not one but two fights in the scoreless first period. The scoring started in the second and didn’t stop from there. Back and forth goals until Philly ties it up late.

A tight checking, goaltending duel is the way Game Three went. The Nashville crowd gets their first chance to enter into the 2020 Playoffs foray and they show up in spades. The Blues make this one interesting with half a period to go but it’s too little to late.

A wild first stanza calmed down going into the second and third. Both teams getting a little chippy in the second. The scoring quickly in every period continued into the overtime as Faksa pots one, 3:16 into extra time.

Late game heroics forced the Bruins into survival mode for their playoff lives. The overtime period was almost completely the Bruins in the Isles zone. It had a real feel of “if they don’t score here, this one is going against them” as their last stand play finally paid off and they find themselves on the board in their first round series.
