News and notes: NHL reschedules more Edmonton Oilers games, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins placed on IR

The Edmonton have placed Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on the injured reserve.
He was clipped in the head against Ottawa last week and missed a game against the Sens.
Subsequently, the Oilers recalled James Neal and Tyler Ennis from the taxi squad, while placing Kyle Turris, who cleared waivers earlier in the day, on the taxi squad.
On top of that, the NHL has announced a number of changes to the Edmonton Oilers schedule as the Vancouver Canucks look to get back to game action.
Here’s the changes that will affect Edmonton:
- Game #829, Edmonton at Vancouver, scheduled for May 4, is now scheduled for Friday, April 16 at 9 p.m. ET
- Game #593, Vancouver at Edmonton, scheduled for April 3, is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 4 at 9 p.m. ET
- Game #662, Vancouver at Edmonton, scheduled for April 12, is now scheduled for Saturday, May 8 at 10 p.m. ET
- Game #673, Vancouver at Edmonton, scheduled for April 14, is now scheduled for Thursday, May 13 at 9 p.m. ET
- Game #510, Edmonton at Montreal, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET on Monday, May 10, is now scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET
