Oilers Recall Jordan Oesterle

Today, it was announced that the Edmonton Oilers have recalled Jordan Oesterle from the Bakersfield Condors.
With Adam Larsson missing yesterday’s game against the Flames with a lower-body injury it’s logical to think that Oesterle’s recall would be connected. Will he play while he’s here? Is he just around as insurance? We won’t know for sure until we see what tomorrow’s lineup looks like, but he will have the Oilers logo on his paycheque for a few days at least.
Oesterle made some big strides in his stint with the Oilers last year, and some of the fine citizens on this website were even surprised that he was sent down after training camp. The smooth skating defenseman played a career high 17 games with the Oilers during in the 2015-16 and seemed to get better with every outing.
In 18 games in Bakersfield this season, Oesterle has put up three goals and eight assists for 11 points.
