The Edmonton Oilers put an end to their three game losing streak last night with a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings at Rogers Place.
It did not start well for the Oilers who found themselves down 1-0 heading towards the end of the first. Trevor Moore capitalized on a couple of mistakes giving the Kings a strong start. Edmonton fought back with a great goal from Zach Hyman but not long into the second a mistake from Evan Bouchard gave the Kings a gift of a goal. Leon Draisaitl tied the game up; however, a big third period from Edmonton helped them come away with a victory thanks to goals from Bouchard and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins late in the period.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live on the Oilersnation YouTube for Oilersnation Everyday at noon. What were your thoughts on the game? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube live chat throughout the show. Your opinions are strongly encouraged during the duration of Oilersnation Everyday.
Oilersnation contributor Bruce Curlock joins Tyler and Liam midway through the show. A few players have taken a step recently including local product Carter Savoie. Bruce will give his thoughts on Savoie’s play along with who could come up and help Edmonton. Additionally, what players have value in Bakersfield? Bruce will give us the inside scoop.
Finally, today’s Sherwood Ford GIANT question surrounds the Oilers deadline plans. Speculation started yesterday that Ken Holland may have changed his plans after the Oilers recent skid.
