It has been a tough road trip for the Edmonton Oilers. They only have one with on this road trip versus the Tampa Bay Lightning and have suffered two losses to the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Washington Capitals. On top of that, Evander Kane is out long-term and Kailer Yamamoto is back in Edmonton getting reevaluated for an injury.
On the bright side, they have a game this afternoon against the Florida Panthers giving them a chance to put all the doubters to bed. The Panthers have an 8-5-1 record and are looking for their third win in a row after beating Carolina and the Anaheim Ducks. Spencer Knight is the confirmed starter for this afternoon as he searches for his sixth win of the season.
