Jeff Jackson’s busy off-season continued earlier today after making another deal with an Eastern Conference team.
The Edmonton Oilers acquired Roby Jarventie from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for former first round pick Xavier Bourgault and Jake Chiasson. Jarventie played seven games in the NHL after coming over from Finland in 2021. Bourgault, on the other hand, hadn’t played a game in the NHL since getting drafted in 2021.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin, who returns to the show today, will break down this morning’s trade on Oilersnation Everyday. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Greta Bar YEG YouTube live chat throughout the program. They strongly encourage you to interact with them throughout the program and other Nation Citizens in the YouTube live chat.
Later in the program, the guys will grade Evan Bouchard based on his regular season and playoff performers. Bouchard had the best year by an Oilers defenceman not named Paul Coffey. The Oilers defenceman finished with 18 goals and 82 points in 81 games, which he followed up with a strong playoffs, scoring 32 points. With that, how would you grab Bouchard’s season?
Also on the show, they’ll talk about Zach Hyman’s Golf Tournament that is happening right now. That’ll lead into today’s Sherwood Ford GIANT Question, who is your dream group of Oilers to golf with.
