Oilersnation Pre Game Podcast – Game 9 vs Toronto

Jan 28, 2021, 15:00 ESTUpdated: Jan 30, 2021, 15:01 EST
The Oilers return home from a four-game road trip tonight and begin a two-game set against the Toronto Maple Leafs. These two teams split their first two games against each other and since that point, the Oilers are 1-1-0 while the Leafs are 2-0-0 after sweeping their set against the Calgary Flames. At some point, the Oilers need to start winning consecutive games and if they can find a way to do it this week against the Leafs, it would give both the team and the fan base a much-needed boost.
Despite losing their second game against the Leafs last week, I actually thought the Oilers played better in the game they lost. Granted, Toronto didn’t have Auston Matthews in the lineup for the second game and he’ll be back tonight, but the Oilers should be confident in their ability to get two points tonight.
I go through some lineup changes for the Oilers and give my bet of the game, which has been ice cold lately.
